Here's my idea for a new television show. It's called "Real Reality". It's a program about a bunch of good looking, young people living in a house watching reality programs. How can it miss? Reality T.V. about Reality T.V.

Most of the time, the camera would merely capture the group in a room, sitting around the television watching other people in another room doing housework. The heart of the show would be the drama that unfolds when the various members of the house criticize each other for criticizing the people on other reality shows. The dialog would probably go something like this:

Pammy: (sobbing) "I can't believe Jack doesn't want to watch Simone ask Burt why he won't ask Lizzie out."
Jack: (disgusted) "Pammy is way too emotional."
Egbert: "Hey! Pammy, switch me places. I can't see the T.V. very well from here."
Pammy: (more distraught) "Shut up! I'm trying to watch T.V."
Egbert: "You're just crying. Move out of the way and let somebody in there who's SERIOUS about watching T.V."
Jack: "Pammy is way too emotional."
Greta: "You guys stop fighting! There are millions of viewers tuning in to watch us watch television. If you keep up this arguing, our ratings will plummet and we'll be canceled."

I've got another idea called "Chat Room" that televises a room full of geeks typing in online chat rooms. Picture a room full of empty Mountain Dew bottles and pita bread crumbs. Six ordinary nerds sitting at computer terminals. The camera looks over their shoulders and captures written communications like this:

Prince_Dudley: "What r u doing?"
Xena: "Nothin"
Xena: "u?"
Prince_Dudley: "Nothin"
Fabio: "hey guys. what's up?"
Prince_Dudley: "Nothin"
Xena: "Nothin"
Prince_Dudley: "u?"
Fabio: "nothin"
Xena: "u?"
Fabio: "nothin"
Xena: "BRB"
Prince_Dudley: "Where'd she go?"
Fabio: "To get a beer?"
Prince_Dudley: "LOL"
Fabio: "LOL"
Prince_Dudley:"Maybe to pee"
Fabio: "LOL"
Prince_Dudley:"get rid of beer"
Fabio: "LOL"

There's no reason why this show won't work. This is exactly the kind riveting communication that has kept millions of users glued to their computers night after night.
